FLM National League Entry Form 24/25

Please read and share this email with anyone in the real tennis community that might like to participate in the FLM National League this year.
Looking at past season statistics – 68% of matches in 23/24 were played using substitutions and 22% were walkovers. In 22/23 this was 58% and 17% respectively. Having taken all of this information into account we have decided to trial a new format for the 24/25 season in an attempt to improve the experience for all involved.
Format for 24/25:
- All Divisions will comprise of 2 person teams
- All matches will be 2 Singles matches (best of 3×6 game sets) and 1 Doubles (single set to 8) all played level unless improved player, further details below/attached.
- Div 6-10 must have a minimum of 3 nominated players. With a suggested nominated team of 4 players

Div 3-5 are suggested to have 3 nominated . 2 nominated players must be approved by the NL coordinator before entry is accepted.

We have foregone Semi Finals this year – instead the Top 2 teams will go through to a final
- Handicaps will be rounded to the nearest whole number and it must be within the correct bracket to enter

Only the Singles will count towards the MVP

Teams must honour the flexibility of the NL – Please do not enter unless you are willing to get involved as much as possible BOTH home and away

I understand this format may raise some questions and as a result take a bit longer to arrange teams so Entries close on the 5th August 2024.
(Please understand that some of these changes are to set up the year after as I take on more feedback and look into things like a Div 11/ more incentive for winning a Division and Improving players)
