The Record Stays in the Family

Claire Fahey is now the most prolific open singles champion in the history of real tennis, man or woman.

Her victory over sister Sarah Vigrass in today's French Open final was the 51st open singles title of her career. That moves her one clear of her husband, Robert Fahey, whose 50 titles had long stood as the benchmark for greatness in the game.

At just 34, and still dominating the women's tour, Claire shows no sign of slowing down. The question now isn't whether she will extend the record, but how far out of reach she can put it.
