World Doubles 2026

The World Doubles event held at Moreton Morrell Real Tennis Court Club saw a standard of tennis perhaps never seen before. It was breathtaking with the athleticism of the players knowing no bounds.
The English weather was extraordinarily good with not an 'April Shower' in sight the whole week. This enhanced the whole event which was so carefully planned and executed by the host club down to the smallest detail.
For the Champions, Tim Chisholm becomes the most prolific holder of this title having now won it 7 times. Just to remind - Tim Chisholm won the inaugural event in 2001 and teamed up with Camden Riviere back in 2007 winning the title which they have retained to date in 2015. Camden Riviere continues to astound all who watch with his breathtaking play, speed and coverage of the court; a great champion both singles and doubles.
For the finalists, John Lumley and Steve Virgona defeat is tough, they gave it their all, it was not to be but they gave the spectators and those around the world watching Ben Geytenbeek's streaming the privilege of watching tennis of a standard, arguably the best ever seen.
The final score was
0/6, 6/2, 6/2, 0/6, 6/0, 3/6, 6/3, 6/4
