Real Tennis Professionals are invited to apply for the position of Assistant Professional at Bristol Real Tennis Club.

BRTC is a thriving club with an involved and active committee, a welcoming atmosphere, a well-maintained court and steady membership and court occupancy.
We seek a qualified professional to play a full part in enabling members of all ages to play, enjoy and improve at real tennis.
Key responsibilities:
These will be shared with our Head professional, and a collaborative attitude and working pattern are essential for the successful running, growth and development of the Club. Roles will include:
- Racket services and ball-making
- Instruction and coaching, including the development of junior players
- Match and tournament organisation
- Helping with maintenance of the professionals’ shop
- Maintaining the court and the clubhouse in a good, clean and tidy condition.
- Growth of membership and player participation
- Running the booking system
- Fostering good contact with other Real Tennis clubs
Qualifications and skills:
- Level 1 IiP qualification (or equivalent), or with a firm intention and plan to gain level 1in the near future.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to flexibly share tasks and work closely with the Head professional
- Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheets, and use of social media on behalf of the Club
- The ability to be proactive and imaginative in suggesting and participating in initiatives to develop and grow the Club.
Remuneration:
- The successful candidate will be self-employed and therefore responsible for their own tax returns. Their core source of income will derive from a percentage of the income from court fees with additional income streams from coaching, marking and sales of merchandise.
